Aadhaar New Enrollment

Apply for a new Aadhaar card at any authorised Aadhaar Enrolment Centre. Aadhaar is a 12-digit unique identity number issued by UIDAI to residents of India.

Overview

Aadhaar enrolment is free for all residents. You need to visit an Aadhaar Enrolment Centre (permanent or camp) with valid proof of identity, proof of address, and optionally proof of date of birth. Biometric data (photograph, fingerprints, iris) and demographic details are captured during enrolment.

Documents Required

Proof of Identity (POI): Passport, Voter ID, Driving Licence, Ration Card, etc.
Proof of Address (POA): Bank statement, utility bill, ration card, etc.
Proof of Date of Birth (optional): Birth certificate, school leaving certificate, passport
For children under 5: Birth certificate; parent must have Aadhaar and provide biometric authentication

Eligibility

Resident of India (including NRIs with specified visas)
No age limit; children can be enrolled
Foreign nationals with 182+ days stay in India (valid visa required)
