DigiLocker Services

DigiLocker is a government digital locker that allows citizens to store and access authentic documents issued by various government bodies. Part of the Digital India initiative.

Overview

DigiLocker is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY). It provides a secure cloud-based space to store documents such as marksheets, driving licences, vehicle registrations, ration cards, caste certificates, and more. Documents can be shared with organisations for verification.

Note: DigiLocker is free. Over 62 crore users and 950+ crore documents are available. Documents fetched from issuers are legally valid as per IT Act 2000.
