New Passport Application

Apply for a fresh Indian passport through the Passport Seva portal. A passport is an essential travel document for international travel.

Overview

The Government of India issues passports through the Ministry of External Affairs via the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) network. You can apply online for Normal or Tatkaal processing. Police verification is part of the process for most applicants.

Documents Required

Proof of identity: Aadhaar, Voter ID, or previous passport
Proof of address: Aadhaar, utility bill, rent agreement, etc.
Proof of date of birth: Birth certificate, school leaving certificate, or passport
Passport-size photographs (as per specifications)
Annexures (e.g., Annexure E for minors, Annexure F for married women) where applicable
