Passport Renewal / Reissue
Renew or reissue your existing Indian passport when it has expired or is about to expire, or when you need changes such as additional booklet or change in particulars.
Overview
You can apply for reissue of passport up to one year before expiry or anytime after expiry. The process is similar to a new application but uses the Reissue form. Minor changes may be done through the Reissue with Changes option.

Pay the applicable fee (varies for Normal/Tatkaal)

Book an appointment at PSK or POPSK

Visit with old passport and supporting documents

Submit application and complete biometric verification

Old passport will be cancelled and returned; new passport dispatched separately
