New PAN Card Application

Apply for a new Permanent Account Number (PAN) through NSDL or UTIITSL. PAN is mandatory for tax filing, banking, and many financial transactions.

Overview

PAN is a 10-character alphanumeric identifier issued by the Income Tax Department. Applications can be made online through two authorised agencies: NSDL (Protean) and UTIITSL. Form 49A is for Indian residents; Form 49AA is for NRIs/foreign citizens.

Eligibility

Indian citizen, NRI, or foreign citizen with Indian income
